functional description

Condensate can adversely impact your quality, productivity, and equipment longevity. Coupling the submicron prefilter to the FluidPro® Membrane Air Dryer provides convenience while enabling your system to operate at peak efficiency. Under pressure, the water vapor naturally present in the air can easily condense into liquid water, even at moderate ambient temperatures. In order to prevent this and protect your equipment and process integrity, the FluidPro® Membrane Air Dryer dehydrates the air in compressed air systems. FluidPro® with Prefiltration Kit adds a new level of protection against the fouling effects of contaminants in compressed air on your sensitive equipment. When atmospheric air is compressed, the contaminants are also concentrated. Oil droplets from the compressor can enter the air stream and clog the orifices of pneumatic instruments, gum up components and necessitate premature replacements, and reduce the efficiency of air tools and air dryers. Most oil aerosols emitted by compressors are 2 microns or smaller. The 0.01 submicron coalescing filters remove even the finest oil particles from compressed air. FluidPro® with Prefiltration Kit applies proven, state-of-the-art membrane technology for dependable and consistent performance.

As moist air enters the membrane air dryer, the water diffuses through the membrane and collects on the outside of the fibers. Dry purge air then sweeps away the moisture and exhausts it to the atmosphere as a humid air stream. FluidPro® air dryers supply dry compressed air without requiring electricity, floor space, desiccants or refrigerants. The coalescing filter element is the perfect partner for the FluidPro membrane air dryers. The 0.01μ coalescing filters enable the air dryer to maintain optimal performance. The filters are also sized for each FluidPro model, taking the guesswork out of filter selection. Pentair delivers effective simplicity. The prefilters are easily installed – just mount them, connect the ports to the appropriate air streams, and the units provides clean, dry compressed air. The submicron coalescing filter media safeguards your sensitive equipment from particulate contamination. The filters, mounted in a corrosion-resistant aluminum housing with a built-in automatic drain, need to be changed only once a year.

what it does

A majority of the oil aerosols emitted by air compressors are 2 microns and smaller. The 0.01μ coalescing filter removes fine oil droplets from compressed air.

The FluidPro Membrane Air Dryers are suitable for a wide variety of industrial plant applications as well as for commercial and laboratory applications. Models are available in a variety of flow rates up to 1 cubic meter per minute. Multiple units can also be connected in parallel to achieve higher flow rates. For most dew point ratings, flow rates and operating pressures there’s a FluidPro Membrane Air Dryer that’s ideal for your application.
